My interest in psychology was born out of a desire to be of service to others and seeing psychotherapy as an avenue to do so. This interest led me to pursue experiences and training that would afford me the opportunity to learn how to best serve various communities. Much of my experience has focused on working with underserved and marginalized communities, as it is my belief that all people can benefit from counseling
In pursuit of becoming a psychologist I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania's counseling center. Prior to finishing my doctorate, I earned a Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University.
My professional experience has led me to work with individuals in a variety of settings, including community-based mental health agencies, college counseling centers, and hospitals. Within these settings, I have worked with clients to address concerns such as identity development, mood and anxiety, family-related distress, issues with ADHD, interpersonal concerns, and difficulty with life adjustment.
